Victoria Park
Welcome to Victoria Park, a 130 hectare inner city parkland located just one kilometre from the Ballarat Botanical Gardens.
The site of Victoria’s first Arbor Day, in 1890 it was instantly transformed into a European styled parkland when over 3000 trees were planted by the community in just 30 minutes, with many of those original plantings remaining today.
The parkland now features beautiful avenues of trees, diverse recreational spaces, historical tree plantings and extensive native grasslands.
You can now explore the parklands in more detail both online, and throughout your visit within the gardens.
